I teach 7th graders and during our Growth and Expansion unit, I read the book Weasel by Cynthia DeFelice our loud to my kids. The chapters are the perfect length and there’s just the perfect amount of heart racing adventure. It has a coming of age element and has a storyline set on the Ohio frontier that hits our Indian Removal Act learning targets as students quickly understand various perspectives- settlers, government, and American Indians. They LOVE the book and beg me to keep reading.

Deal lawyer’s dream job: in-house working reasonable hours (40-50/week with real vacay), paid the same as BigLaw (after accounting for equity) with better benefits, and still get to work on complex, challenging and interesting work. Even comes with a little taste of the business side as a cherry on top. Does it exist? If so, how do you get there?
