Currently working in Bank with 7+ YOE including 6 yrs in Big4 non-MBA (Masters in Finance). What is the total comp (base+bonus) that I can ask for? What is the general sign on bonus? It’s demoralizing, clients aren’t going to want to spend the money on proactive compliance if there aren’t any consequences. Current clients with pending enforcements are pretty unsure of what to do so uncertainty generally means less business for us as well.
Likely a big mess to clean up one the democrats come back in control, but until then, bribes are cool
I discussed this with a client today - the law isn’t going away per se and the next administration may want to focus on this again so it’s dangerous to think there isn’t a future risk here
Fair point, but also look at how the private sector responded to the government’s DEI purge as an analog. I don’t think anybody is acting with an eye towards a future, more enforcement-happy administration.
