Hey all - going to be taking CAMS in December. Any study tips or online resources to focus on?

Hello everyone! I am a Judicial Law Clerk, which I have been for a little over two years now. However, I’m planning on moving into the AML/Compliance realm. I have a background in finance, having been a Finance Disbursing Officer in the Army for 6 years with one deployment in that role. Additionally, I am currently a JAG attorney and studying for my CAMS, hoping to take that exam in the next month or two. Any advice or referrals for anyone I can talk to learn more about the field? I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

is it wise to try to get CAMS certification on my own? I was interested i. getting an AML position. Could someone tell me what the average pay for an AML analyst is? I currently work in brokerage customer service making around $70k with bonus. I have my series 7 and 63 licenses as well.

I have a CAMS certification and have been on multiple projects while always meeting or exceeding expectations. Hi ladies, I am nearly at the point where I want to start having kids. However, I have made a career change somewhat recently (about 1.5 years ago) so I am not really experienced in the tech industry. For anyone who’s taken / passed the CFE, is it worth paying for the full exam prep course or would studying the fraud examiners manual suffice?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

I see a lot of job openings at Deloitte for their US Fraud Specialist Team. Is anyone familiar with this group? How is it different than their regular forensics teams?

What should be the next certification that I should get? I have the CFE. I’m targeting the CFCS and the ACAMS as the next ones that I should get. Any thoughts on which one I should get 1st? Pros/Cons

Has anyone worked in the disaster recovery Space and went directly into fraud? I’ve worked on disaster recovery projects as a Quality Assurance Analyst. Essentially we make sure no fraud is occurring. I haven’t had any luck finding a remote fraud role without my applications getting denied. I’ve been thinking about getting my CFE, as I’m sure that might help.
