Anyone have the CFF from the AICPA and willing to share their studying/exam experience? Curious about required effort, study plans, exam structure, overall opinions of the cert. Thanks!

If you buy the Essentials of Forensic accounting book that the review course is based on you’ll be fine. The review course comes with the digital copy of that book too if you want to spend the extra money.

I’m currently at a studio that has been good to me. They took a chance and allowed me to change career paths. They gave me numerous opportunities that lead me to now, being the head of a department. On the other hand, I have an offer in hand from a much bigger company to be part of their business development. Any advice?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit?
