Trying to get my cissp. Is it possible with only 3 years of tech consulting experience. I am at least going to attempt but wanted to get an understanding. Also! What is the most common place to take a study course/prepare with study materials?

You can definitely learn the material, but make sure you qualify for the experience portion

like

Do you have cyber experience? People do bootcamps + self-study for a couple weeks and pass.

If you have an IT-related degree that knocks off a year too. If you pass the exam without the years of experience you become an Associate of ISC2 until you hit your YOE and then can convert to a CISSP.

How long do you think it will take me to study?

Okay great thank you. I have the education in info systems and have touched on some of the domains in consulting. How do you prove your experience? If I am not day to day in the specifics (architect/engineer etc)

Also if you could provide info on the study materials and a course that’s most common that would be great

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?
