I’m a senior associate and received an offer to join a very profitable client as general counsel that would open lots of doors professionally and financially. Problem is I’m super burned out on law and was planning on quitting law firm in the next few weeks and doing something else with my life. Someone kick some sense into me before I decline the offer.

Hi 🐠. I have a sibling that recently emigrated to Toronto and trying to land into healthcare consulting. Her background: MD degree, PhD in public health and currently doing diploma in cybersecurity. All of her degrees are from Asia. She has mostly spent her career as an academic in Asia and has extensive research and publications in public health. Just began studying for the CFE exam. I have access to past editions of the ACFE Fraud Examiners Manual. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get good practice questions? I’d like to avoid spending a fortune on the ACFE kit.

4 YOE total all in consulting. Currently a SC. Clients/work have been commercial healthcare implementation & public health strategy, risk, process imp etc.

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any B4 IAM consultants make the move to Accenture? How is the talent experience (employee apps for time & expense, expense/travel policies, well being subsidy, stock options, etc) compared to what you’d find at D or EY? How do you find the quality of projects, and your role as a SC (which I understand is just “Consultant” at Accenture)? Worth making the jump or do you miss B4 life?
