Hi ,I have been interviewed and selected in S&P Global .salary almost negotiated and waiting for the offer letter to release. But seems like they are not willing to release the offer because of my 90 np . They are asking to join by 60 days but initially I told them my NP is 90. Even I am ready to take the 60 days offer but now they are not releasing offer as they want assurance. Now they are not picking calls.seems like i will loose the offer. Is there anything can be done.

Well damn what firm were you at that didn't send you to trial because I am in ID and not trying to ever go to trial lol
Only the shittiest ID firms don't try cases. IME, good ID firms are good because they win trials

Are you making under $80k as a 7th year? Even outside of bigger firms I know 1st years making $125k+. I know ID has generally pretty low pay but if you went to a non-ID litigation position at midsized+ firm you’d be selling yourself short at $150k.
You aren’t making enough now for your experience (even no trial experience). I was making about $120 at a small firm and then $135-140 at a big firm doing the same thing. That’s the high end though. Billing between 2200 hours.
Apply to Jackson Lewis. Chances are they have an office in your city and they are desperate for help. They hire a ton of former ID associates. You will likely take a class year cut, but you will certainly make well above what you are making now.
^ah okay that makes me feel better. Thanks!
Don't know where you live, but that seems very low even for your situation. I live in a mid-market Midwest city (think smaller than KC). And even here there are 3-5 large local firms, no where near the AmLaw 100 (or even 200) mark that start brand new associates out at just over 100K (we also have satellite offices of about 3 actual AmLaw100 firms). I know from classmates (from a super low-ranking local school) that were middle of the class that got jobs there.

UM? Like Michigan?
FWIW, I’m a 3rd year making $100k in ID and up for a promotion
When I was doing med mal at Wilson Elser ny I was making 100k as a 4-5 year. I was terrible at it and with a terrible group. I moved to a small firm then in house
