We are trying to track action dates so that we can follow up in 2 weeks. The return date doesn’t HAVE to be a Wednesday, but I want to be able to sort them by priority so we can see all of the items to follow up on for the week and Wednesday felt like the easiest day since it’s in the middle of the week. So as long as I know we follow up on any day in the same week as the return date, we are good. But I am trying to allow for some flexibility in the follow up date, so I don’t necessarily want the return date to just be two weeks in the future from the reference date, if that makes sense?
Coach
Just find the next Wednesday and add 7.
Here is the formula
= A1 +10 - weekday( A1, 2) + 7
Where A1 has the starting date
Note: I put 2 in parameter for weekday because it’s easier to have weeks starting with Monday =1, but you can use any. Need to adjust the 10 though
Thank you!! This appears to have worked for all my input dates (including Wednesdays)!
Here’s one way to do it. If you want to change your follow up day, you’d simply update the corresponding number and columns G/H should update.
