Unpopular opinion: some healthcare leaders haven’t worked the floor in so long that their expectations aren’t realistic anymore. Policies look great on paper but fall apart in real life. Frontline input should carry more weight. Agree or too harsh?

I have said this SO many times. They forget what it is like to actually be on the floor, and it drives me insane. I think they should be required to go back and work the floor every now and again.

Exactly! Im sure things have changed tremendously since they were last actually hands on, and they need to fully understand what conditions their employees are working with!

AGREEEE

Just saying what we’re all thinking, right?😂

I totallly agree that frontline input should hold more weight because they are the ones dealing/running the place on the daily. Upper management may have some good ideas in theory but most aren’t realistic

Exactly! I think a lot of them mean well, but they don’t understand the depth of the work we’re actually doing.

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

Appreciate any advice and insight, thank you.

I am a clinical research coordinator working in Austin, Texas. I have my Masters in Cell & Molecular Biology and have a year of laboratory research experience.

I’ve been in my position for 5 months now. I make $27 hourly which amounts to about $51,000 yearly. Am I being under paid? Are all coordinator positions hourly? As a laboratory researcher I was salary :(

How do I go about asking for a raise or should I explore other companies or medical schools that have clinical research?
