Any layoff expected in bny ?
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Hey girl, I’m sorry you are going through this. I was laid off after working of a company for about 8 years. I had a friend who was laid off after 8 months. It all can feel awful in the moment. My faith in God and working out helped a lot. I also leaned into the transition services, hobbies, and working on my own business as I applied for jobs. Friends and family were a great support too.
I’m sorry you went through that! Thank you this helps a ton. That’s the advice I keep hearing, so I’m definitely going to give it a try. 🙌❤️

Take a deep breath and take some time to enjoy the weather and just not think about what just happened. The reason I suggested this is because you really want to allow your mind to clear so that it can be focused. It is hard to lose your job no matter how you lost it. Enjoy this weekend and then on Monday. Sit down at your desk, get a coffee or tea, and spend that first day just updating your résumé. Think about all of those great contributions that you did for your job. Think about the examples of critical changes that you were a part of once you feel like your résumé is in a good place, try to enjoy the rest of the day. Then on Tuesday now we kick it into high gear. Start pulling out your favorite places to try to work. Take your time and fill out their applications and for the ones that you really like I would suggest putting together cover letters. Once you’re in a good place on that, enjoy the rest of your day. On Wednesday start applying to the positions that you don’t really want but you’ll take them until you find what you really want once you did that then enjoy the rest of your day. The piece that I really want to hone in here is that this type of thing has the potential to break people and it is important that you stay focused recognize that this happened to you not because of you, so you will get through this.
Thank you! I think I dived in head-first. I just applied to everything I was interested in the first day, but I ended up getting an interview. I did that yesterday and just got an invite for round 2 today. I’m not banking on getting an offer but I’m hopeful!
now is a great time to take account of your life. i was laid off in June and decided going back to school was better than trying to immediately get back into the rat race
That’s definitely a good idea. I’m already in my Masters program, so glad I kept going! So sorry that happened to you ❤️

Dang! I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but sometimes, when one door closes, another one opens. Take this time to regroup and figure out what direction you want to go in. Do I want to stay in the same line of work or change careers? Do I want to start my own business? Are there any professional networks I can join? You'll be alright. Always remember sunshine always comes after the rain! Good luck and continued success 🙌🏽🙏🏽
I just worship because i can do that and worry at the same time.
Sorry this has happened to you

I and several friends are going through this now and it's even more proof that executive teams do poor forecasting and planning. I'm using this time to realign my career goals and values. I almost always think people should check in with themselves to make sure they're aligned. While I know it will take some time to find something new I don’t want to internalize anything and be proud of the work I did do in that role.
I've also been toying with the idea of working with a friend on some joint business ventures. It would be cool to totally lead my own business on the side.
