Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Regardless of whether this is true or not, this is tech that doesn’t need to exist and especially not be available to just about anyone who wants to use it.
ACD2, it’s not being regulated because 1/3 of the regulators don’t understand it, 1/3 of the regulators are free-market capitalists, and 1/3 of the regulators think that it’s a free speech issue.

Critical thinking needs to be part of our curriculum. Fallacies need to be up there with our ABCs.

100% agree. It’s just going to be impossible to trust anything on a screen in the imminent future.
Not to mention, we currently have AI going rampant through our government deleting and rewriting things to the surprise and delight of racists.
I love this Boomer Facebook style content. Those morons also loved chain letters. lol.
So let’s make up a story about it to scare old people? What’s the takeaway? Never speak to anyone without a witness?

I’m not watching a 45 minute YouTube video.
Yeah, I get the fear. But at least for now, AI can be debunked. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg9k5dv1zdo
In the (very fake) engagement bait screenshot you shared, the lawyer would easily be able to use Outlook or whatever the company uses for scheduling meetings to prove it never happened. Even better if the employee cites times when the CEO has an alibi, or can’t reveal when and where they were given a link to the Zoom meeting.
Not even sure what this “true story” is suggesting. Some madman created a CEO voice bot to troll new employees in the hope that the new employees would 1) not notice the Zoom meetings came from a sus email, and 2) record their meetings to creative trouble for the CEO?
Either way, before AI it was sage advice to leave a paper trail at work. It’s more important now.
Deepfakes are the scariest thing about AI
While I don’t doubt this is possible, this entire post sounds made up for the purpose of engagement.
