Was referred for a senior open role at a prestigious creative shop to the C suite hiring manager directly. Had a great convo with them plus 7 great interviews with various members of the team—many went over time, lots of positive feedback and enthusiasm. It’s been 3 weeks and the recruiter has completely ghosted, as has the C level person who brought me in to interview. I’ve sent a few emails to both. Obviously assume I’m out of the running but…wtf? Is this standard?

Which ATS application portals will you not even apply to a job through?
I see Taleo and completely ignore the job and company until they switch to greenhouse or at least workday.

Hi all,i have been taking interviews for my department since the last 3 months.Should the company be paying me for the extra efforts?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Is it important to tell recruiters your end goal when first reaching out? For example, I’m interested in switching from litigation to transactional, but my eventual goal is to go in house. Is that important to mention or precarious? Would recruiters have insight into the best way to make that goal happen?

Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4.
