I have recently joined in a project as a Oracle JD Edwards finance Functional Consultant.
Is this a good ERP to kickstart your consulting career and whether there are good opportunities for this ERP in the future.

What’s the next move when you’re this age, at plateau of career, not going any further and burned out, but have to work for at least 5-7 more years? Would love to hear from those who made a fulfilling move.

I’ve been interviewing for new positions to leave PA. But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. I don’t think my boss has any idea I’m looking to leave - anything I should do to not feel guilty about potentially leaving them short staffed with a ton of work? Is this something you think about when looking to leave?

Has anyone signed a contract to work for X amount of years with the government and then broken that contract? Are there repercussions? The contract was two sentences that said I would work for X years. That’s it. I cannot find any information online about what happens if you hate your new job so much that you quit. Anyone?

Looking for some advice. Second year associate at firm of 25ish attorneys in the Midwest. Looking to make a move and have an attractive offer from a small firm of 6 attorneys. I’m a Junior product manager with a Master’s in Healthcare Management. Anyone who’s started on their essays - how have you gone about brainstorming, especially for the more personal essay prompts? E.g., what matters most to you and why, when do you feel most alive, etc.

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

I see this question about how to display side projects often, so putting this out there for anyone who might find it useful:

There’s no such thing as side projects, in my eyes. Every project is an opportunity to display your creativity, and the few you’re most proud of make it to your book. Generally, the consensus these days is that we want our advertising to not look/feel like advertising. So, why should you be concerned to separate what was and wasn’t “advertising?”

Anyone have some portfolio advice for me? Trying to figure out how to frame side projects…
