We have a display of living room furniture at the back of our store, in front of a large mirror, and this couple was trying to figure out how to get around it. When I asked if I could help, they pointed at the mirror and asked if there was a way to get back there, around that glass wall, since they'd like to see those other couches. It hit me they didn't know it was a mirror and they were seeing the same couches, just reflected. What would you say?

I work in a sucky IBM cic, making $54k. It’s a full time job with regular benefits and vacation etc, it’s working with government clients. The job isn’t what I applied for & constantly changes. I don’t like that, but I’m a full time employee which is “stable employment”. Btw, I’m in the DC area.

I just got hired for a government contract through Accenture for a Business Analyst role. Pay is $65 per hour. 3 year contract. Benefits too. No PTO. Holidays off with pay, after 90 days.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

Someone came in and ordered 60 bacon double cheeseburgers… my crew thought I was kidding. 😅

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
