You bought the house. There will be another person that doesn’t care and will buy the house also. Might take a couple months, but someone will buy it. Why did you buy the house?
Thanks! Appreciate the perspective
The answer was nothing, and we wound up getting the house after it was on the market several months. We also found out when we first looked at the house that a prior buyer actually bowed out a few days before closing, thus losing a huge deposit, because there wasn’t enough room for a pool. At the time i thought, well obviously there isn’t room for a full size pool. But no I realize they probably thought they could clear forest for it. Anyway, I’m now spinning out that we made a huge mistake and no one will ever buy this property from us. We plan to live here the next 20ish years and we personally love the house and property, but I keep focusing on this history/knowledge I’ve gotten. Any advice how to get over it??
I’m in the same boat. We bought the house in 2021. The house is next to a drain and an easement and backed up to a tree line. Which essentially means I don’t have a backyard and can’t put a fence in. But nope. We have a kid who LOVES being outside so we are looking into the idea of selling and buying a house with an acre or just land.
For us it’s purely resale anxiety. Our kids are 9 and 10 so they play in the driveway most of the time at this age (basketball, bikes, etc). The only exception is when they go on the trampoline. We have enough room for that in back, luckily. But they don’t really play in open grass anymore. We have a large front yard and we’re at the end of a dead end so if they want to throw a ball they can use that and there’s never anyone or cars around.
Good luck with your sale!
