We've been importing most of our goods from Europe, but with the cost of everything going up, this has become unsustainable. Should we look to Asia or South America in order to lower our overall costs?

I think it will depend entirely on the material you import.

Before importing from Asia, verify that they are quality products and if another company recommends them beforehand, so much better.

It depends on what you are importing. Asia is a better option for us, as the cost of goods is generally lower there. Additionally, many of the products we import are sourced from Asia, so it is a natural fit.

I haven't come across many companies that import extensively from South America, it seems that Asia is more industrialized for exports. It could just be the area in which I specialize though (small consumer electronics). So I would assume Asia to be a better fit, though I could obviously be wrong

My organization specializes in exporting goods from Asia, so it's pretty obvious which one I would recommend :) I'm not AGAINST exporting from S. America, it's just a matter of the existing contacts we have with suppliers in Thailand, Vietnam, etc.

It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
