Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Coercion or bullying via email to perform a task that wasn’t asked or required of job function. This included forceful use of “love it if you” repeatedly after I said no, happy to answer questions. Please refer to x person for this specific content or presentation. Gaslighting during presentations. Being talked over. Cutoff and disrupted multiple times during a meeting by said person.
