Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title. Right now I’m a data analyst with TSQL/PLSQL/MySQL experience. I have experience writing complex queries/views/stored procedures/etc. I have intermediate excel skills and have dabbled in Power BI. I also taught myself PowerAutomate and now am automating my weekly/monthly tasks. My question is what will make me more marketable as a data analyst? Will getting my certificate in PowerBI help? Do big law firms typically need references when you lateral from another big law firm? I don’t think I suck at my job but haven’t made close partner connections at my current firm so not sure who I would ask.

Anyone have slow months where you burn through a lot of your allotted pro bono/professional development hours to keep hitting minimum daily hours? The past few weeks have been like this for me. Should I be concerned (I.e., will this reflect poorly on me, come review time? Will I have dug myself too much of a hole if I keep burning my non-billable hours?) I’ve been asking partners if I can assist in any projects so I can fill my plate, but I’ve only gotten small (4-6 hour) tasks handed my way.

How do you deal with unresponsive summers? I’m a junior and overseeing my first project with summers (5 in total). Two are unresponsive and do not acknowledge my emails. Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!
