What’s the sticky situation?
Oh yeah. I’ve dealt with a few recruiters like that in my prime. They’re not the most professional people. I wouldn’t think much of it. Edit and send the resume if you really want the position but personally, I would go searching and applying directly with firms that are hiring.

Honestly l just grain-of-salt all recruiters. I have gotten jobs through them contacting me about particular roles but have never had success working with a recruiter looking on my behalf. I don’t really take them at their word.
I could give a laundry list. Recently I told a recruiter about a position I wanted and she diverted to another position because I was an easy sell for it. Also recruiters that don’t push for the money you want. Give you false information about a position just to get you in. Send your resume to a place without your permission.

@legal assistant This is definitely unprofessional as she needs to tell you what firms she is submitting you to because if you find someone you do like another recruiter and they approach you with same position you now can’t because she already did without you knowing. The reason why she asked you why you left the other firms is because she is creating a profile for you to them letting them know why you left. Her telling you to hurry is so she can get you in for an interview. First of all again unprofessional. Understand this you run the show and not her. You tell her kindly that you want full transparency of where she is send your resume and also you will not “hurry” for her benefit as this is your life and you want to find the right fit. I had a recruiter who rushed me and it back fired on me. She never apologized and never followed up with me. I suggest you don’t work with this recruiter if she doesn’t respect your boundaries
I recently worked with one I was very unimpressed with. They would copy and paste messages from me and the hiring partner to each other. When it came time for negotiating they were entirely uninvolved and I had to do it all on my own, but keeping them copied. I have no clue what the firm paid this person, but anything more than $20 is too much.
Like a few others have posted, I've not had success working with one looking on my behalf. However, since I was interested in finding a new position I did spend the time to talk to anyone who reached out, even if the position they mentioned was a good match just to let them know what might I might be better suited for.
Not responding timely and when they do, they come across as flakey. Also not aware of current trends in the market concerning pay rates.
I agree with the commentator who said YOU are in control and not the recruiter. I just had very similar situation as you and I had to use my “no nonsense voice” to get the recruiter to calm down and stop pressuring me to hurry up. They want you to hurry so they can collect their commission quicker because you are a great “catch.” That is just my opinion and I could be completely wrong.
Nope you are correct and when you are a great catch and there are other competing for the role they want you to hurry!
