A few of my favorites:
-if you envy a person’s life, you must envy the entire life and not just part of it
-quality is remembered long after price is forgotten
-only he is lost who has given himself up for lost
-it is you against the universe, and you will not win, but you get to make *your* moves, not them
1. Make yourself big in your life.
2. Do your thing and the world will catch up.
3. Operate out of your imagination and not your memory.
4. Once your future becomes relatively predictable, it’s no longer a future, it’s past. You’ve lived it, time to move on.
5. Life loves the liver of it. Courage is the most important of all virtues.

A mentor once told me these two and they’ve definitely stuck with me:
1. If it is to be, it is up to me.
2. Work hard the first part of your life, or work hard the rest of your life.
If it's not a "hell yes", it's a "no".
…, it’s a “hell no”
Just posted this elsewhere but I heard this a long time ago and think about it often when struggling to prioritize in life:
-A consultant on a beach vacation sees a young man chilling between two boats.
-The consultant asks the young man if he can rent one of the boats and the young man says of course.
-The consultant says that he could make a bunch of money renting boats all day here in paradise.
-The young man asks why do that?
-The consultant says because he could make a lot of money and hire workers and buy more boats to rent. He says he could scale it and maybe even step away from it for passive income.
-The young man asks why do that?
-The consultant says because that’s what success looks like, and if he did that he could retire a wealthy man.
-The young man asks why do that?
-Frustrated, the consultant says because if he were rich like that one day he could spend all day on the beach doing whatever he wants.
-The young man says but I’m already doing that 🙃

Most things we work on isn’t life saving. Don’t create artificial emergencies and stress your team out
It’s a journey, enjoy the process

Always marry for the money. The worst that can happen… is that it works out.
Move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food. It's a plus for everybody.
