Why firm-shaming makes us stronger. Go!
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Betty! I ❤️ you!

Sorry to break your bubble. Big consulting firms are not much of bottleneck. US immigration system is. 10 years and waiting on Green Card.
Sigh.. understand. Was hoping some firms may sponsor e.g. 1 year in as opposed to 2-3 years in, so at least we get a bit of a head start
Rising Star
Kearney has a killer program. So many colleagues fast tracked to green card. People have told me it’s really easy with Kearney
Rising Star
Relatively, no^
We have only a handful of books of business globally, so that makes transferring from a company perspective much simpler. Also Kearney has great support for people going international, so i know plenty of people who have done it.
Coming from some countries is more difficult (eg coming from India can be harder), but even then I’ve known lots to navigate the process successfully. I would say compared to other consulting firms, Kearney makes it easier
OP are you Indian? If so prepare for a 10yr wait minimum. Firm doesnt matter. Job doesnt matter. Unless you can get an EB1 or EB5. On EB2/3 its gonna be a 10yr minimum wait.
A man’s gotta shoot his shot 🫡

Someone put A1 in touch with the Senior Manager who was worried about the German dude with a greencard.
Thanks McKinsey, can always depend on you guys to come through!
Deloitte does with your 1 year of employment... Pending a couple of factors.
To fast track, try to come to the US on a L1 visa.
Pwc submitted my GC application from L1a in 1 year and was granted 1 year later.
ZS is pretty good.
Lots of factors here. If you’re Indian, you’re in for a looong wait - unless you marry an American. If you are from some countries it’s a lot faster though - aka countries that don’t have a lot of immigrants to the USA. Most consulting firms have decent programs but as stated above - USCIS sucks balls.
