This question could only come from a staff lol

I couldn’t survive without mine. My PA does my expenses, books my travel, books my meetings, gets me meeting rooms (handles catering), books my cars, is a notary, handles my InterAction submissions, make changes to documents (powerpoint and word). Answers my phone, gets my visitors from the lobby, helps manage my contacts and calendar. Handles my CPE submissions. Sends out group wide emails on my behalf. She is quite integral to allowing me to work. She doesn’t get me coffee; I actually do that for her. Whenever I go, I ask if she wants. Even when I go grab lunch I do the same. She does a ton for me. I have the upmost respect for her and she is critical to my success

Admin contribute more than you know! When my office’s admin lead goes on vacation, it feels like the office is falling a part. They help with all the partner’s travel booking and scheduling of meetings. They help order lunch and dinner and picks it up for us so that we aren’t wasting time in traffic. They help with SOWs and engagement agreements. They help organize office events and town hall meetings. They help with CPE credit submission. They organize and talk with different office committees. They’re in charge of organizing in charitable contributions of the office. They do so much more behind the scenes and they don’t get enough appreciation!

You sound like the pompous ass of the office.

Stick around for a few years and you will find out

Lololol seems like you need to maybe actually look into what all an admin does..... my team would crumble without ours. Just because you aren’t involved with the admin doesn’t mean they are useless 🤷🏼‍♀️

You sound like a spoiled brat who thinks they are better than everyone else. Believe me those admin people are gonna save your stupid ass someday and you better say thank you. And by the way, no you can’t send them to get coffee and donuts, that’s your job.

likesmart

So what do they do? How do you get them to do stuff for you?
Can they get coffee and donuts?

funnylike

They do a lot of stuff so you don’t have to do it because our you had to do it you’d have quit sooner.

likehelpful

No, but you're welcome to do that for me

On large engagements admins can also be helpful in getting meetings with key client executives. If our admin has relationships with the client’s admins it is extremely helpful when senior members of the engagement team need to get on the calendars of c-suite level contacs

I have an admin as a senior manager. Life is good having one. They support me so much!

Obviously this is a comment from someone who never had an EA or used them properly. I have worked for Leaders Client Leads and multiple Partners that couldn’t live without me. We do everything from travel to agendas to Daily client meetings. with immediate around time. Some of my good friends are from my client. My partner does not even look at her expenses and I handle personal responsibilities also. That’s just the tip. Hold on tight most of the EA’s will be retiring within 2 to 4 years good luck guys! Most of you are clueless on how to get things done at 300 Madison !!!!

I’m confused about the post ... I’m gonna ask my admin to explain it to me

@EY2 sounds so awesome. Your admin does the EL and billing 😳 Wish we have that! I hate admin anything !!!

One stop shop game on their end so it’s Cheaper for them to do the leg work than you.

@EY3 and EY2 So does this mean it’s the norm there? You should advertise that. No admin as part of recruiting!

like

@OP, you’ll find out once you are an admin. 😉
