Hey All!
I have a phone interview for a data scientist role at snowflake comming up. Any advice on how to prep?
The email indicates that the call will cover my experience, motivations, and understanding of Snowflake.
Curious if other have gone through the process and have insights to share. Or if anyone at snowflake can shed light on how I can be effective.

Depends on your situation, how many in your family? Renting vs buying? Spending habits?
For context, I’m single with a mortgage in Irvine, making say 250k on the conservative side. I can live quite comfortably because I don’t spend whole lot now, and mortgage is the largest expense. Able to cover all my expenses under 120k, with the rest take home stash away for retirement.
If you have a family of 4, 120k is probably the bare minimum you need, but won’t be comfortable.
Don’t know about Newport Beach.
75% take home is extremely generous mathematically. That's just your federal tax rate. Factor in 401k and pre-tax deductions like health insurance. You're usually bringing home about half your gross.
Irvine and Newport are different in terms of cost and vibe. It’s easy to look up rent or home prices in the area and extrapolate a livable wage. Irvine will be less and Newport will be more if looking at comparable housing.
Makes sense! Yea I’m gonna take a trip to both areas soon to get a feel for both vibes to see which I like better.
