Now I light my cigars w $100 bills, before it was $50s.
In seriousness, the only major change is the peace of mind that comes from defined benefit retirement plan (assuming I hang on the few more years until I vest), which in turn made it easier to write checks for kids’ college....they will graduate debt free. Otherwise, still live in same house, drive same level of cars, same type clothes, trips, etc. not trying to be a baller.
Nothing. It’s different work but life didn’t change much if at all.

I feel a greater responsibility to our people that aren’t my direct reports. I used to only be responsible for my immediate team as a member of management. Now I’m responsible for a much larger population and am privy to a lot more HR issues. I also feel under a microscope sometimes. Everyone is looking to see how the partner responds to things, what does the partner say in reaction to things.
