As a result of #metoo, it was revealed that now a lot of male supervisors and councillors are refusing to train/guide their female juniors. Most of them don't want the hassle of being accused of sexual harassment.

Depends on how far from home you venture. I carry a bit more on longer rides - puncture kit, gels, water.
CO2, puncture kit, multi tool are basically required. Tube on longer ride.

25- 30 Mile round trip close to home = short ! Wifey or a friend can save me from baking/freezing with a flat tire in about 30 mins.
If I drive far and I’m biking the same distance, I carry more stuff. Sometimes I’ll check with friends on what they are carrying and drop a thing or two like pump.
Anything more than 30 miles, I carry most of my stuff. Mostly to be in peace and not get frustrated. I generally Don’t carry a lot of first aid although I think I should :)
It's my main transportation. I can always call my wife for a bail-out, but I try REALLY hard to not have to do that. I have an extra tube, patch kit, (in case I get a second flat, before I get home) tire levers, multi-tool with a chain tool, small crescent wrench, tiny roll of duct tape and a half-dozen zip-ties. That covers all the "maintenance" items.
I also always have water, coffee, snack, cargo straps, an expandable day pack, backup phone-charging battery and cable.
A few decades back, I was on my way home from work and my wife texted me to stop at the store for a gallon of milk, bag of cat food, box of cereal, a cantaloupe, a few potatoes and a watermelon.
Now, she had a bit of a history of forgetting that I was on a bike, but I always took the requests as a challenge.
On this particular day, I was just cutting through the grocery store parking lot. I didn't reply, but grabbed the items and had to use some ingenuity to get everything onto myself and my bike.
This store was just around the corner from our house and just as I got onto our street, she texted again to see if I got her first text. I replied, "Yes. Almost home."
When I rode up our driveway, she was laughing on the front porch with our kids.
She apparently sent that list as a joke, telling the kids that they would all get to laugh at my sarcastic reply.
Question for both of you: what constitutes a ‘long ride’ vs. a mid-range ride?
I carry the same things, plus basic first aid items (bandaids, gauze). All of it adds up and adds weight to your ride, though.
