I have had a few times in my startup experience where things I had expected did not materialize and I was left feeling very disappointed and unsure of myself and the process.
I have tried a series of approaches, but my personal recipe now involves taking a short break to regather. The reality is that the mental and emotional pressure of founding a company eventually leads to fatigue and you need a clear thought process to resolve issues. Take a walk outside, enjoy a hot shower, go to sleep early that night. You will be surprised by the increase in mental clarity and emotional strength.
Also, it is important to remember that you have faced issues in the past and were able to resolve them. Yesterday’s challenges became today’s stepping stones. The class you were scared of failing years before in school has now been forgotten and so will this crises after you’ve resolved it. Rest and regather.
Anyways, that is my very generic approach. I look forward to seeing what some others do in this situation. Following this thread.
Wishing you and your efforts the best of luck.
Just remember that once you start to care too much you lose sight of your vision. Most likely you’re comparing yourself to someone else right now and I would say stay in your mind and do not get caught up in what others are doing. Remember our emotions are a liability because it could make us lose money.
When you begin to get into dumps, the best thing to do is let someone ask you questions. Should you really want to work it out yourself through self diagnosis or using some models, check out Mind Valley. You really get some awesome and practical help there.
