Subject Expert
Right everything down in the morning, then prioritize. Based on that priority I make a todo list with 1-3 things on it. The first item has to be something I can do within the first hour of my day. This helps build momentum, even if it’s trivial like ‘get a coffee’
Also I keep my brain dump and todo list separate. You can keep making new brain dumps with the same stuff.
The todo list is ONLY items that you’re prioritizing to get done that day/week. This helps you stay focused. It’ll also help you communicate to you boss or team and mostly importantly to yourself what’s NOT your top priorities.

Just get done what you can. Work in this field should not be stressful -- no one's life is on the line.
