Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

… Director only 2 years after joining the company. Different team, same department.
This makes me wonder whether my manager is stalling my promotion?
For reference: the promoted employee is slightly younger than me. Has less degrees. Works in a general role, has no direct reports. I’m an SME, no reports either.
What’s the 2-year expectation/goal initially set by yourself or by you and your manager? Is it possible that while your performance hasn’t been bad, that you’re not growing or increasing your skill set to where you need to be for a promotion? Being younger with less degrees honestly has nothing to do with it if they’re a super strong performer. You’re manager may not be great at giving effective feedback and is trying to avoid a hard conversation, or the 3-year timeframe is true and this other person was just performing at an exceptional level
Always start the conversation early expecting delays. before you’re ready or deserving to be promoted.
Once the conversation has been happening for so long, it’ll make it an inevitable reality in the pressure will build on your manager, provided your hitting the relevant benchmarks
