Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). Need advice. Currently at $142k base. 3 years and 1 month left before I max out of H1b. Just got my PWD issued through current employer though their immediate reaction is subtly letting me know they’re not in a hurry to start recruitment. Got an offer today for $160k base. I might have one more tech round and HR will contact. After 4-5 days HR sent Ibegin link to create my profile and update details. Then it's been 3 weeks no other update. Curious what everyone’s been seeing from the latest Google algo update? I’ve been noticing smaller, niche sites start to show up more in high value SERPs. My hypothesis was that over the pandemic Google over-showed the large sites like NYTimes, Forbes, CNET, TomsGuide, etc in high value categories to make sure users were getting info from well-trusted sources.
