Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

Agree with P2, it also depends on service line and practice.
My SO works for EY (manager). We are both in advisory. Most days it feels like it’s the same thing wrapped in different colored paper. There are some decent perks at EY that KPMG doesn’t and vice versa.
As to switching later in your career, although you can be in your early 30s for all I know, just know that building your network again at any other firm is going to be rough. Whether it’s KPMG or any other B4.
Since you are an SM3, you probably have been thinking about the next level. Big difference at KPMG is a that MD is not a final role and you can always make partner, although much harder the longer you are an MD. Whereas from what I understand, at EY you either become a partner straight from SM or you never do.
Yes, MD at EY is a terminal spot unfortunately. Hopefully that will change.
Cost of switching firms is you have to start over when it comes to your network.
Benefit of switching to Kpmg is you no longer have to deal with mercury.
Tough call for sure...
Lmao
I did this about 2 years ago and didn’t have regrets. I came in to EY as SM2 from KPMG and no regrets. Building my network was easy. I’m good at what I do. Started partner discussions at the hiring process. I didn’t like KPMG growth and trajectory and didn’t like the partners I was working for. I feel if u put the time in u will be rewarded. A 38% raise helped seal it.
As KPMG1, if you have a good connection within the office, I’ll do the move, otherwise it will be hard to move on. Partners push for their guys (who probably have been in the pipeline for a while)...so you need to have a good contact that rock the boat and move/add you to the pipeline...otherwise you will go on the MD route.
That’s a good point. Thanks. Don’t have any contacts except for one MD. So not sure how much that will be helpful. At EY we need senior partners weighing in and also an Account Coordinating Partner support to make it to next level.
