So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
The star of family photos of course was Daysy 😄

I'm of the opinion not to fix anything that's really truly amazingly not broken! Having a great role at a unicorn that you're already doing well at is really tough to walk away from! What's the big draw to Motorola? What's your comp difference? This said, take the interview still!
It's definitely one of the more underrated companies, and a good place to develop your career. But. From past experience, I would say that you have to be prepared to keep up with a lot of changes.
Have you spent time in Chicago already?
I'd say go for an interview, feel them out to see what you think of the company culture, and then go with your gut feeling.
I always like to take every interview. But I'm also interested to know what's most interesting to you about the new role, and if Motorola would be a move forward, etc.
Been there 9 years as an engineer. Solid company as an employee.
