Letting scammy fake cause/political ideas dominate the awards shows.
Telling us that every brief is an opportunity.
Agencies and their holding CO’s desperately trying to bill clients for everything under the sun EXCEPT for the one and only product they truly manufacture: Creative work.
It’s like a restaurant billing customers for the usage of cups, plates, napkins, utensils, and sitting time, but not the food.

Making them believe that what’s promised is actually what you get.
Timesheets.
The biggest fail is to think the world cares about your work, thinking it will bring you a better job but when it does, because it will, the job is always tied to bigger agency layoff that make you question whether you ever mattered or are you just a number on a excel sheet. Then you realize that the work you do is to make sure you get a promotion, but never to truly feel like you did anything meaningful or worthy to reminisce in your deathbed. God forbid you win an award for a cool creative campaign for a shitty brand or a brand that later fumbles into having a bad rep, because you will question your entire existence.
You: “Guys! I won a Silver lion for our Doritos Super Bowl TVC!!”

Friend 5: “…layoffs?”
You: “i won a silver lio— ahhhhh 😭😭😭😭!!”

It makes it easy to find a job or get a raise, even in these times. No one needs an actual statue or to talk about it with non-ad friends 😂
