Everything takes time - more time than you think. Strength goals, body composition goals...everything. The one thing I really wish I understood years ago is how important consistency and nutrition are. Those were the 2 key things that helped me lose 30 lbs, get my first pull up, sleep better, etc.
Realizing not every workout has to be an hour. Use the time you have. If you only have 15-20 min, use it! Don’t ditch the workout bc you don’t have the set amount of time that you think you need.

Slow and steady. Don't set super aggressive goals. You just end up not hitting them and getting discouraged.
I was stuck in this cycle of gym no gym because I though I had to do 4 days a week, every week.
Find an activity that is also fun! I always got so discouraged at the gym because I found it a bit boring. Now I do cycling classes and pole dance fitness and my body is 👌 and my mind is happy 🤗
Yessss! It’s meant to be a lifestyle change so you have to enjoy it to be able to actually incorporate it for the long term
Consistency in time / frequency. Regardless of the level of exertion. For me, going at 5 am despite how hard I work out, if I at least get my butt there, makes it easier over time
Take body measurements! Just weighing yourself won’t give you an accurate picture of your progress.

Start with just the bar- always. Don’t try to add heavier and heavier weight until you perfect your form. Otherwise, form suffers. High rep, low weight to start.
