Foam roller stretches
^ this. Highly recommended. Fairly cheap on a
Amazon.
Stand against the wall, with a tennis ball between your back and the wall. Bend your knees so you go up and down (pretend you're a bear scratching its back).
You may find that a lacrosse ball works better for tightness. I also use a golf ball sometimes.
Put the ball in a pillowcase to make it easier to keep it in place too.
I have a pair of Yoga Tuneup balls that come in a mesh bag, so you can roll them as a pair.
Agree with SA1. Depending on the tightness and your level of comfort, you might want to try a harder ball.
They are slightly bigger than softballs and are better than lacrosse balls
