I might take a short vacation, visit family, or just enjoy mornings with coffee that isn’t rushed. Somewhere around July, I start easing into planning mode: rethinking classroom layout, tweaking units, maybe attending a workshop or two.
I'll probably do a few household projects. And I'd like to take a few little camping trips. We're not planning on a major vacation this summer, it seems like a good time to save any money we can. So I'm hoping to have fun and be thrifty, that'll be the theme of the summer I think.
The day school ends, I get in my car and leave. I go stay at my summer house in the north.

I come back a few days before school starts.

I am teaching a summer program this year. Grateful for the income.
I work at my other job.
I am a coach at our high school, so I spend quite a bit of time working with our softball and basketball athletes. I also, work part-time at the local golf course and play as much golf as I can squeeze in. Throw in a week-long vacation in June and it makes for a good summer.
O usually teach summer school, then on weekends, go out to the beach, or visit close by families, or just relax and watch movies at home.
This summer is a mix of painting projects at home, reorganizing my classroom, taking my kids to multiple camps, and going to Disney.
