In my experience it’s been a month from screener to offer. I moved companies in August. I applied the first week in June, had my first interview the following week, got my offer the first week in July, gave 2.5 weeks notice and had a week off, started August 1. I was interviewing with 5 other companies during this time too and cancelled my last interviews with 3 of them, one of them rejected me during this time, and one ghosted.
My first in house role I was literally only looking/applying 7 weeks before I got two offers but that was late 2023.
Market is much harder than 2023. I also got my first in-house job in 2023 and have been applying for a new in-house role since the end of 2023 with no luck.
When I moved in house two years ago, my first interview was in mid July. I didn’t receive my offer until October. I think I had 10 interviews total plus a skill testing assignment.
Fortunately I really enjoy the job. I came close to backing of the process multiple times.
It depends on the company, but because we're now well into holiday season, start the timeline the second week of January, then add 3-8 weeks.
