What’s your work-life balance like? I feel like I’m constantly working after hours, always balancing multiple projects, hardly ever going through a phase where there isn’t a ton of critical initiatives going on. It definitely wasn’t like this when I was a more junior PMM, but as a Senior PMM, my work-life balance has severely decreased. Is this just the nature of Product Marketing? 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? I am working with PwC with the GUIDe team (govt. governance projects, policy and all) NOT PROPER BUSINESS/MANAGEMENT CONSULTING.
I am planning for MBA (CAT 21) and have resigned from PwC already to prepare. After CAT (Nov'21) I will have 6 months till I hopefully join a Bschool. I intent to utilise these 6-7 months in doing something relevant in proper mgmt. consulting. What options do I have?
