I know this is not ideal, but I spend probably 25 to 26% of my take-home pay on housing now it’s rent so the same as owning the house but let me tell you it is rough so if you could avoid that large of a monthly payment, I would recommend it
Mine is about 34%. It's not ideal, but I'm a single parent and had to buy a new place on my own following a divorce. I think the general rule of thumb is you never want housing to cost more than 30% of your pay, so it sounds like you should be good.
25% is often the recommended max for housing payments. I currently only pay 15% of my gross pay on rent.
