What should be my minimum package with 8 yoe?

Is there a definitive guide to cost of living? The obvious cost of living centers (SF, NYC, LA etc.) get covered a lot, but I’m wondering where my city falls. It’s a modest Midwest city with ~100k residents but is a relatively touristy spot. It often feels like a MCOL area but I’m not sure how to adequately judge that, and it would be helpful to know when comparing salaries and the like.

How much you guys make with 2 yoe in fed consulting. Just got promoted and now making 91k. Is that low or high for the fed space?

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

I was not getting any proper job, I joined a company as System Admin (the position name is only in pen and paper their actual work is data entry operator) on 3rd party payroll. I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. During my first switch back in 2019 I recieved 80% hike (4.5 lpa to 8 lpa), that was such an excitement you just can't believe. I got this once my ex left me and I was happy after receiving this offer after huge sadness , sorrows given my ex.



Today I recieved 100% hike with cctc as 10 lpa but no excitement. It look like I am becoming a robot and not enjoying anything.
