What sorts of behavioural questions are typically asked for experienced hires in life sciences consulting? Assuming they are more targeted than tell me about times when you worked in a team, or solved a problem etc as everyone would already have that experience coming from a consulting background.

My advice: Concentrate on yourself above anything else, follow orders but also know how those orders affect you, serve your country but never forget you are serving yourself first. The objective is not to die honorably but to survive dutifully. What else would you add?

Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house?
