Manage up more assertively. Don't be afraid to put the SM on the spot, but be able to show exactly where you see the project falling behind. Then try to bring it up on internal status calls where the partner may be on the line so that the team has full visibility. You'll be seen as more competent if this concern is coming from you rather than your SM and it is a valid risk. You should be highlighting risks all day on your status calls.

Have metrics to back you up and just continue to raise it as a concern, with documentation. If you have a project plan you can pull from to quantify your concerns then you have a real case. Until then just keep on delivering and hitting your marks.
If this is true then it will eventually come out and be on the SM. Continue to take care of your responsibilities and deliver on time with clear documentation that you did so. It is not your place to approach an MD about an SMs performance.
I guess why do you think it’s falling behind?
If because there are tasks you believe the team should be working on but aren’t - take some initiative and bring it up during a team touchpoint and try to take lead on it yourself
If because it’s just a general sense of unclarity/unclear scope - ask some questions to help your understanding and maybe you’ll realize things are actually all good
If you believe just the entire project is behind - make a rough sketch of a project plan / priorities for the next 4 weeks with some dates on them and bring discuss it with the SM
Regardless, I would either (1. use this as an opportunity to step up and show well or 2. Just let the SM do their job and it will reflect poorly on them . I wouldn’t go straight to the MD unless you’ve had several conversations with the SM on your concerns and try to solve them together with the SM first
Last thing I want to do is complain about my team but I'm just getting frustrated and it's clearly showing. Already had the "talk" with my team 1-1.

You do not need to fix this or work harder. This isn't really your circus. Do your job well. Set boundaries between work and life. Internalize that the success or failure of this does not come down to you, and that there are other people with more responsibilities who are making choices. And if you hate it, think about a new project or job.
You should discuss with your SM and offer to do the work that is making the project fall behind, or suggest what the SM needs to do (example - get feedback from the partner, schedule client meetings, etc). SM are often overworked and would appreciate the pointers to keep things on track.
