What do you mean by internal role. As per JD, this is supposed to be a client facing role involving account development and management
If the JD says that then I might be wrong. But based on the people I've interacted with with that title are internal people. They assist with BD work and stuff but never in front of the client. Did you try LinkedIn searching the title?
Assistant Director- associate director -director. That’s the hierarchy. It’s a supporting role, you’re not going to deliver projects. Director is the final stop , like ED or Partner on consulting route.
These are US definitions FYI. Other regions may have others. For example in Canada , an ED is associate partner
I don’t think you can directly compare with SM. A Deloitte SM will be equivalent to EY SM. Again, all US
Associate Director is a non-client service rank equivalent to Senior Manager amongst client service professionals. From your description this is a job in the Markets&BD function, which is the sales function for EY.
Thanks, how many years for career progression for an Associate Director to an ED tole? Is that an Up or Out model as well.
Thanks, EY3. I found out the same from my recruiter. Seems like the payscale for AD in Sales role (Client service group) is surely more than the advisory SMs. Surprised to find out that they don’t have a bonus structure for such roles just a base salary range.
You don't make ED with associate director role, next level for associate director is director and that's it
That’s why it’s wrong to equate SM with associate director. It’s not the same. EY SM= D SM. Different track. If you’re D SM now, you’re getting a different job at EY as associate director
