Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Interviewed and recieved offer from them recently (didn't end up accepting) and few of my observations:
- People I met seemed really nice and super switched on - A lot of them are ex-MBB/ Kearney (the more senior ones at least)
- They took case feedback seriously and took a lot of time to provide it. Made me feel like they actually cared
- Comp was competitive but it will be influenced by your previous experience. It is not at standardised as MBB salaries for Undergrad/post MBA positions.

A lot of their work is focused on operational improvement so they need to be on site / at the asset to do that work which are often not in main cities. But I do hear ratio of work in cities has been increasing. As per comp post linked above, they compensate you well for remote work. Also if you love operational improvement work in heavy industry then FIFO projects are going to be the norm.
Thanks for the really detailed response. Have done actual FIFO/regional work in the past in a non consulting role and I did enjoy it (apart from spending weekends in a tiny town - but consulting schedule sounds fine). Thanks for linking the compensation post! The remote bonus factor sounds very interesting.
Salary is on par with T2 and MBB
