What is the salary range for CGP cyber senior 2->senior 3 in a HCOL? Recently moved to the practice and wanted to get an idea! Any input is appreciated!
Worthwhile getting the AWS cloud practitioner cert? (Will there be a return financially in ease of finding job or higher salary)?
What is the average salary right now for an experienced associate moving into a senior role? I’ve got offers from RSM, SSF, CohnReznick, and Grant Thornton. I know the market is hot right now, how hard should I push to get a high paying salary? Also, what is a good sign on bonus?
Reminder: if you've clocked in tons of hours a week OR worked a weekend, you need to request comp time for your sanity. No one will give you that time off without asking for it. 🖊 Your Mental Health
Could anyone give PwC Director (Risks - ESG - Technology - Asset Management) Compensation for an International hire? PwC UK
This general strike talk has really got me re-evaluating my whole career. I can’t complain about compensation, I’m paid well, I have benefits, and I have a roof over my head. But the work life balance and unsustainable productivity expectations that have been created by agencies that won’t say no to clients needs to change. We place/create ads to turn millionaires into billionaires while we’re treated terribly. Something’s gotta give. I don’t know a single person who isn’t burnt out right now
Received offer from D. Background investigation asking for base salary #. Salary is set to change at current firm effective 10/1 and those are the numbers I used to negotiate. Which # should I use?
Should I give a verbal heads up to SM before my two weeks? Waiting to grab bonus then dropping my two weeks but new client engagement starts day after bonus. I'd be the manager for project.
What are the best consulting firms to work for in Chicago right out of undergrad based on salary and perks?
Transitioned into consulting post-MBA (1.5 years ago) and generally enjoyed the experience. Since I joined my comp has gone up ~13% and I’ve liked my project teams but in my most recent review talk my partner told me he thought I was ready to be promoted and had advocated for me but there was an HR rule against it and I was on-track to be promoted in 6 months. Since then I’ve learned that one of my classmates (started 2-3 months before me due to COVID) was promoted last cycle.
Bonus: - 7% Recent CPI reports: 6-7% inflation I directly sourced and did 80% of the legwork to get the partners a $26mm new account (where we had previously been fired in 2020) with a potential $9mm contract extension in 1Q21. Time to lateral back to financial advisory. Happy Thursday!
Can your manager make you work if you have COVID? Mine is asking me to attend meetings and complete tasks.
Deloitte IT M&A or KPMG IT M&A. Theoretical gun to the head and you gotta choose one, where do you go? Why?
Cyber: EY vs Accenture - which do you think will give me better exit ops when up for Manager (2-3yrs)? Accenture seems very ahead of the game when it comes to tech, but im also trying to get less hands-on implementation and more into strategy and selling, which seems like it might align more with EY. These are just gut feelings tho, would like input from people in the know.
10+ yrs out of undergrad, do I still need to put my GPA on my resume (it’s 3.2 nothing to brag about but afraid ppl will think it’s sub-3 if I don’t include). Thinking I’m far enough out but don’t want to raise eyebrows. I also have an MBA with no scores (school doesn’t give real grades) so it’s wouldn’t be inconsistent if I exclude. I went to a top MBA program and work at a bulge bracket bank so I’d hope that speaks to my creds post college.
So i primarily come from a tech background (did CS in undergrad and currently 2.5 YOE in digital transformations at B4). Gonna be starting b-school soon and found out that most associates go through case interviews that cover all topics, meaning i have to start learning other areas. I’ve never done case interviews before and have no clue where to get started 🙃...any tips for someone in my position? Helpful tips/resources? Thanks fam!
Partners who have left one consulting firm for another: any major differences between your firms that you’d call out? In culture, ways of working, talent…
Second week with at least one day with no hot water at the Westin. Feel bad complaining but it’s really annoying. Should I ask for points? Who do I ask? My ambassador?
Is anyone on here familiar with Activate Consulting, the TMT-focused boutique? I’d love to hear anything and everything about the firm’s reputation and culture. What is the bulk of the functional work that they do? Are they very involved in deal origination and strategic due diligence?
Booked international family trip months ago when baby was four months, figured she’d be better by nine months. She’s not... am I crazy to think cancelling is the best course of action?
Wife is currently a nanny making $18/hr but just got her green card and is looking for a non-childcare job. She has a masters degree in education from her home country but doesn’t want to teach. She’d also prefer minimal human interaction. Based in Northern NJ (Chatham). Ideas?
What's the point of getting a B4 to do your internal audit? My understanding is it's to save time and therefore money for the external audit, but I imagine it's not cheap to have a B4 do it.
What is a good source for building, selling, marketing Banking as a Service or other banking services for new fintechs? Books would be great but anything goes.
Guys, Salary day in HCL ?
How common is an employment contract with specific language for the following: 1. I agree to pay my employer if a client follows me to another firm after my employment ends.

Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?
