What’s the best way to recoup energy fast? I just got out of a 2-hour meeting with the most extroverted person I’ve ever met and feel like I need to hide in a silent, dark room to recover.

By the end of the week, my brain is shutting down from having too much interactions. I really just need an empty room to sit in and stare at the walls for a week or two until I can unwind it all.

I know the feeling. Quiet, solo time is my recovery prescription. Drink water, listen to favorite music and chill...

Being surrounded by extroverts does get overwhelming and can totally relate wanting to lock yourself away to a quieter place to recover/recharge.
I second meditation too! A few mins every morning keeps me in my zone and not overwhelmed as easily.

Very late reply but thanks so much! It’s really interesting to get your perspective. I was skeptical but your break-down is convincing. I too would like to be a sleep jedi

Do you need quiet time to review your notes or plan next steps?

Good points...thanks!

Maybe find a silent dark room?

Does anyone feel nervous to some extent whenever you need to speak in a meeting? Even if it is not a big or important meeting and people are friendly? I know it is irrational but just cannot seem to get rid of it. Doing my best but I wish that feeling did not exist 😞

Hey everyone! I’m currently in my last year as a consultant and I’ve just been riddled with anxiety because of my job. I feel I’m not assertive enough to make manger, and have been struggling to work on projects that actually interests me. I’ve been looking for new jobs but nothing stuck so far. I was thinking of exploring product management, but was wondering if this is a better job for an introvert? I don’t want a role that is too technical either. Any advice?
