How do you explain a small resume gap?
Hello Folks,
My LWD with current organization is on 30-Sep-2022.
I have an offer with HCl and joining date is on 3-oct-2022.
I have cleared the TCS technical and managerial round and got an email to upload the documents to proceed further with HR discussion, an I have done it yesterday.
But my priority is to go with TCS, but the doubt is will TCS provide offer or joining letter before 30-Sep-2022, because only 6 days left to complete my LWD.
Any suggestions to handle this.

Biggest challenges is to do all these things while working full time. I focussed on:
1) Doing courses that were relevant for the job I was interested in. These were about skills and education- e.g. Financial Modelling, CFA, etc. These take time to do as you need to show practical application in these.
2) Revamping your CV. It’s not just updating - need to reorganise and modify it to show only key skills and relevant work ex. Showing too much of your existing career experience is very tempting but you need to trim it down significantly if it’s not relevant for your next role.
3) Networking. The hardest part. LinkedIn is the only key way and it takes a lot of time and patience. Sending out requests with custom messages, having a conversation to build connect, then leverage that connect later on to request a referral. Response rate can be quite low for career-switchers which is very annoying.
Right now, the market. Every job I apply to on Linkedin already seems to have over 200 applicants, as if I'm going to stand out in that crowd 😓
Employers tend to pigeonhole people. They want to fill a position with someone who was doing the exact same position at another company.
