EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY

I mean that job for 8 weeks shouldn’t be on your resume, for many reasons so that’s a moot point. Try to stick it out in your current job for a year and then look elsewhere. A year and a half if you can stand it
If people pushed for you, I would definitely stick it out for a year. Ultimately it’s your first real job out of college and it’s ok to not like it. Some people may not react well to you leaving, but hopefully most will understand because of that
Would recommend trying to stay for at least a year but, in the meantime, keep your options open and continue learning on the side. There are so many free/affordable courses you can take online to make yourself more marketable and limit that feeling of being “stuck”
The interview process, depending on what industry, can take time. Taking virtual interviews now can help sharpen your skills for the role of your dreams. I would also use this time to refine what you’re looking for and be self-critical. With both jobs - what did you learn about your capabilities? How do you manage stress? Do you like big or small teams? What kind of work bores you? Do you want a manager who is laissez faire or something else? What did you dislike or enjoy about either role? It’s hard to pinpoint sometimes when it’s early In your career and there are slim pickings.
