How long should I wait to hear interview result? I have had over five rounds at a firm including rounds with senior management. The interviews went well. After following with hr, they say they are waiting for feedback on other candidates. Fair enough, but it has been almost a month and hr is not giving me final word on whether they want to hire or not. Any advice on what's happening here?

What are some things to focus on in writing a cover letter? This would be for an Associate level position. I imagine it should be different than for an entry level role?

My final interview was scheduled for a associate solutions architect role back on the 24th when the recruiter emailed me and said they had to pause interview activity on the position due to some recent changes.

During my interview process I clearly stated my salary expectations of 95k-105k. They came back with an offer at 80k. Is it even possible for us to come closer to a better agreement with them being so low? All other aspects of the job are in line with what I'm looking for, so I really want to make this work.

I’m working at a non big4 consulting firm for about 1.5yrs now, doing mainly international with some M&A exposure. I want to do llm because I still want to shoot for biglaw. I have a small kid so it’ll be hard to do the program part time. Should I quit my current job and enroll full time? Meaning lose 1yr salary and taking on a job security risk. TIA!

Currently at BNY Mellon with 10 YOE, specifically in Corporate Trust working CLO/CDO’s (first job out of college). Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?
