What’s the funnest or weirdest thing you’ve ever used Excel for outside of work, and did it actually work out the way you planned? I've been working on a fantasy football tracker with Excel, complete with team stats and player profiles. It started as a small project but ended up becoming a full-on dashboard with filters and charts.

How long did it take you to become good at excel? Like fast?

Timesaver: If you’re working on a file saved on the cloud (teams, share point, etc.) and need the URL to communicate out, tap FILE -> INFO -> COPY PATH and the url will be on your clipboard. Pre-established sharing privileges of orig folder will apply. Hopefully this saves you time reshuffling open windows! Bonus: Same on standard MS suite files.

Hello. Quick question about formatting. I have an excel sheet with bunch of negative numbers, but some are percentage values and some are dollar values. Is there a way to make all of them have a parenthesis for being negative while keeping them still percentage and dollar value separately or do I have to target them separately?

I’m trying to learn more about Excel functionality and there’s several simple functions that I don’t know, this is probably one. If I am color coding data, is there a way to automatically move those lines to the top or bottom of the spreadsheet once the color code for the line is made?

How can I add multiple characteristics within one cell and make sure that a pivot table can read both values independently if needed? E.g., I have a column titled “color” and in one cell I write “red” and the other “red, blue”.
