MW is the parent company for McCann, MRM, FutureBrand and Craft. There are some employees that sit at the MW level but most, at least in the US, are within the agencies. In some markets we go to market as MW as the offices/offering are more integrated and I believe they have one P&L.

It’s bit like the Mafia. You’ve got different crews running different territories. Your PR agency, your Experiential agency, Media, Advertising. They all have a boss and operate somewhat autonomously but if there’s a big job like a pitch or client with a bit of money, you’re expected to wet the beaks of your partners (it’s in everyone’s best interest to spread the cash around and keep the peace). So, you kick business over when you can. Oh you need new branding? Let me introduce you to my cousin FutureBrand! But the most IMPORTANT rule is a little bit of everything you make goes up the chain to Worldgroup. Always. Thou shall always feed thy familia first. And no one. NO ONE makes a move on anything without approval from NY.
