One week.

Unpaid intern, in a cohort of other unpaid interns, doing 90%+ of creative production work. Hard to call it a fully fledged agency - it was two college bro hacks loosely supported by one of their dads (a Pentagram exec), who funneled clients to them and came in to clean up their messes every once in a while. They're still around!

Jetfuel Studio. When I quit, they threatened to blacklist me for not paying back $50 for a month of Adobe apps and $120 for a MetroCard 😂 i.e. the minimum they were willing to offer to offset my costs

This was back in 2018, they've grown since then and probably aren't mostly comprised of interns anymore. But the same people are in charge afaik.

3 months. Kept it on my resume because that experience mattered back then, when I was building up my skillset. 3 years later, recruiters kept asking me why I left so quickly that one and only time in my career years ago, so I finally removed it lol

When non-ad ppl ask you what do you do? In terms of title; do you tell them “copywriter”? Or immediately assume they dont know and might confuse it with copyright infringement, and just end up telling them that you’re a writer or a creative director, and skip the hassle

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

Adoptable dogs on beer cans: copy or coincidence?

Motorworks Brewing in Florida did this years ago, and now Uncommon just did the exact same thing for Brewdog beer.

Straight up plagiarism imo. Literally search "adoptable dog on beer can" and the Motorworks stuff comes up, so not googling the idea beforehand is not an excuse.
